“I was running 4x a week, lifting 3x a week… and still feeling bigger in photos.”
Sam wasn’t lacking effort.
She had just finished marathon training, was strength training regularly and genuinely enjoyed being active.
But her nutrition had no real structure, and despite doing so much, she didn’t feel the way she wanted to in her body.
She wanted fat loss, more muscle and a way of eating that worked for her whole family, without slipping back into the diet mentality she’d grown up with.
What she thought she needed was the right combination of food and training to finally make all that effort pay off.
But, what was actually getting in the way was she didn’t need more exercise… she needed her nutrition to actually support the training she was already doing.
And it had to work in real life, with family meals, two daughters watching, and no separate “diet food” being cooked just for her.
What we changed...
👉🏼 Used calorie tracking as a tool, not a punishment
👉🏼 Built nutrition around family meals and strength training
👉🏼 Focused on fuelling properly while steadily losing fat
👉🏼 Kept the approach flexible enough to survive holidays, work and real life
“I’m so happy/proud that I enjoyed myself AND kept to my goals.”
Sam stopped treating fat loss like something that had to compete with strength, family life or being a good role model for her daughters.
She got leaner, she got stronger, and she built a way of eating she could actually feel proud for her girls to see.
