The questions you’re probably thinking…

Because I know choosing Nutrition Coaching comes with approximately 738 questions 😝

So, before you disappear down an internet spiral, here are the things I’m asked most often about nutrition, weight loss, my programmes and working with me.

Still can’t find your answer?

First things first… am I actually the right coach for you?

I predominantly coach women who already know quite a lot about healthy eating but struggle to make it work consistently around real life. You might want to lose weight, eat better, feel healthier, improve your energy or simply stop thinking about food quite so bloody much. The common theme? You’re tired of constantly feeling like you need to “get back on track”.

No. Weight loss is a big part of my work, but it isn’t the only reason women come to me. You might want to feel healthier, improve your eating habits, have more energy, feel calmer around food or finally understand why certain patterns keep happening. Your goals determine the approach.

That’s completely fine. We can work on things like eating more consistently, improving meal quality, increasing energy, building healthier habits and helping nutrition feel easier, without making weight loss the main goal.

Perfect. That’s actually most of the women I work with. You probably don’t need another person telling you protein is important and vegetables are good for you. We work on why doing what you already know becomes difficult when life gets busy, stressful, social or unpredictable.

Then you’ll probably fit in quite nicely around here. Many of my clients have tracked calories, followed plans, joined programmes, lost weight before and still found themselves back at square one. Instead of immediately giving you another plan, I want to understand why the previous ones stopped working for you.

Then I definitely don’t want to give you a nutrition strategy that requires you to suddenly become significantly less busy. Your work, children, social life, travel, stress and unpredictable weeks are all part of the coaching. If it only works during your perfect week, it doesn’t really work.

Okay… but how does the Nutrition work actually work?

Usually, no. Meal plans can be useful in very specific circumstances, but I don’t want you dependent on somebody else telling you exactly what to eat forever. I’d much rather teach you how to build meals, make decisions and adapt your nutrition yourself.

Not necessarily. Tracking can be a useful tool, but it isn’t automatically the right tool for everybody. Some clients track calories and macros. Others don’t. Inside Behind the Bites, we use a short period of tracking during the Food & Lifestyle Review to gather useful information, not to grade how “good” you’ve been.

Thankfully, no. I like pasta far too much to run that kind of operation. We work out how the foods and social occasions you genuinely enjoy can fit alongside your goals.

I’m much more interested in context. Some foods support your goals more often than others. Some foods are mostly there because they taste fantastic. Both can exist. The goal is to stop every food decision feeling like a test of whether you’ve been “good”.

No obscure powders, £9 seeds or ingredients requiring a pilgrimage around five different health-food shops. We work with food you actually like and can realistically buy, cook and eat.

Potentially, yes. We look at things like meal timing, meal structure, protein, overall intake, hunger patterns and the parts of your day where your energy tends to dip. Often, feeling more energised starts with making your nutrition more consistent and actually eating enough to support your life.

Let’s talk weight loss.

If weight loss is your goal, we’ll build your strategy around achieving it in a sensible and sustainable way. Exactly how quickly you lose weight depends on your starting point, lifestyle, adherence and individual circumstances. I’m much more interested in helping you lose weight and know what to do afterwards than getting the fastest possible result you can’t maintain.

There isn’t one universal timeline. Some changes, hunger, energy, meal structure, confidence and feeling more in control, can happen relatively quickly. Physical changes take longer. We focus on making consistent progress without turning your entire life into a fat-loss project.

This is a very important part of my coaching. We don’t spend months learning how to lose weight and then suddenly shout GOOD LUCK! when you reach the number. Maintenance is something we actively prepare for. You’ll learn how to increase flexibility, navigate changes and maintain your results without permanently behaving like you’re dieting.

They will sometimes. Water, food volume, your menstrual cycle, salt, carbohydrates, travel, digestion and plenty of other things can influence scale weight. One weigh-in rarely tells us much on its own. We look at trends and context rather than declaring an emergency every time the scales behave dramatically.

Confidence isn’t something I can promise as a guaranteed outcome, but it’s something many women tell me improves as they start feeling better in their body, keeping promises to themselves and seeing progress they can actually maintain.

Behind the Bites

Behind the Bites is my 6-week private nutrition coaching experience for women thinking: “I know what I should be doing… so WHY do I keep ending up back here?” We identify the patterns driving your eating, what happens when life gets busy and where your biggest roadblocks actually are. You leave knowing what’s been keeping you stuck and what needs to change.

No. Everything is completely private and personalised to you.

Weight loss can absolutely be part of your goal. But the programme is primarily designed to identify why you haven’t been able to create consistent progress so far. If you want longer-term implementation, accountability and ongoing weight-loss support, Private Coaching may be the better fit.

You leave with clarity around your patterns and a strategy for what comes next. If you want continued accountability and support implementing everything, you’ll also have the option to move into Private Nutrition Coaching. No awkward sales ambush required.

Private Nutrition Coaching

Private Nutrition Coaching is for the woman who is ready to properly solve this. You want personalised weight-loss support, accountability, adjustments as life changes and somebody helping you navigate the messy bits as they happen.

Private Coaching has a four-month minimum commitment with a monthly rolling subscription thereafter. That gives us enough time to move beyond a few motivated weeks and actually coach through busy periods, weekends, social occasions, plateaus and the things that normally derail you.

£235.00 every four weeks for a minimum of four months, or £850.00 paid upfront, saving £90.

You receive personal weekly coaching reviews and videos, direct support between check-ins and private strategy calls throughout your coaching journey. You’re not disappearing into an app and receiving a thumbs-up once a week. I actually coach you!

Tell me. Life very rarely schedules its meltdowns conveniently around check-in day. Part of coaching is learning what to do during the difficult moments, rather than waiting until Monday to analyse why everything went wrong.

Food, cravings and your relationship with Nutrition

These are things we can explore when they sit within the scope of nutrition coaching. We look at patterns around hunger, restriction, stress, environment, routines and the situations surrounding your eating rather than simply telling you to exercise more willpower. If your situation needs specialist clinical support beyond my scope, I’ll always be transparent about that.

That’s something I’d want to understand rather than immediately removing the food. Sometimes the behaviour happening at 8pm makes a lot more sense once we look at what happened at breakfast, lunch and throughout the rest of the day.

I do not diagnose or treat eating disorders. If you currently have, or suspect you may have, an eating disorder or need specialist support, please speak with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. If you’re unsure whether coaching with me is appropriate, contact me first and we can discuss it.

Medication and health

Potentially, yes. Your health history and medication are important context, so please tell me about anything relevant before we begin. Nutrition coaching does not replace medical care, and medication changes should always be discussed with the clinician responsible for prescribing them.

You may still benefit from nutrition coaching around things like meal structure, protein, habits and building skills for the longer term. I don’t prescribe medication or advise you to start, stop or change your dose, those decisions belong with your prescribing healthcare professional. If you’d like to know whether my coaching would be appropriate alongside your current treatment, get in touch.

Tell me before we start. Depending on your situation, coaching may be appropriate alongside your existing healthcare team, or you may need support from another professional first. I will never pretend something sits within my scope when it doesn’t.

Results, progress and “what if I mess up?”

Congratulations on being a human being. We look at what happened, learn from it and decide what needs adjusting. A difficult week isn’t evidence that you’ve failed. How you respond to it is part of the skill we’re building.

Good. Holidays are part of your life, so learning how to navigate them is useful. We’ll decide what makes sense for that particular trip and your current goals rather than expecting you to eat like it’s an average Tuesday at home while you’re sitting beside a pool in Spain.

Absolutely not. In fact, if your results require perfection, we haven’t built something particularly useful.

We look at the evidence before randomly cutting more food. Your intake, consistency, movement, hunger, sleep, routines, menstrual cycle, lifestyle and anything else relevant can all give us useful information. Then we decide what actually needs changing.

Getting Started.

A very simple distinction... Behind the Bites: “Help me understand WHY I keep getting stuck.” Private Coaching: “I’m ready to change this properly. Help me lose the weight, implement it and make it stick.” Still unsure?

Not necessarily. If your application gives me enough information to start understanding what you need and you let me know you don't want a discovery call, we can take it from there.

I personally review your application and come back to you with the most appropriate next step. If I don’t think one of my offers is right for you, I’ll tell you.

Not ready for coaching yet?

Absolutely. You can grab my free recipes or join the waitlist for my next free nutrition challenge.

You’ll find the daily oversharing on Instagram, more nutrition content on TikTok, and you can also join my email list through any of my free resources.

For coaches and practitioners

I do. I offer one-off 60-minute business mentoring sessions for coaches and practitioners who want a second brain on their offer, messaging, client journey, content, systems or whatever business problem is currently living rent-free in their head.

Still got one?

If you’ve made it this far and your question still isn’t here, I genuinely want to hear it.

And who knows, your question might even earn a permanent place on this page.
