Meet Beryl!

“I thought I was addicted to chocolate.”

Beryl was disciplined in pretty much every other area of her life.

Career? On it.
Commitments? Followed through.
Goals? She got them done.

But food felt completely different…

She loved baking, brownies, cakes, cookies, but would either avoid them completely or spend the evening cutting off “tiny bits” until she felt out of control, guilty and frustrated with herself.

What she thought she needed was more discipline, more control and less “bad” foods in her kitchen.

So she tried eating cleaner, tightening her calories and avoiding the foods she couldn’t seem to trust herself around. But, it only made the food noise louder!

Beryl wasn’t lacking willpower…

She was under-fuelling earlier in the day, relying on lighter options instead of satisfying meals and had spent years labelling foods as “good” or “bad”. So, by the evening, her reaction around food wasn’t random… it was soo predictable.

What we changed:

👉🏼 Built regular, satisfying meals and better post-workout fuelling
👉🏼 Reduced the urgency around sugar and carbs
👉🏼 Practised eating previously “off-limits” foods without compensating afterwards

And after a few months, she was whole dress size down, but more importantly…

She stopped bingeing in the evenings
She ate birthday cake without needing to finish it
She enjoyed meals out without the anxiety afterwards
She ate pasta without obsessing over the exact amount
And food stopped dominating the time she wanted to spend with her friends

The real win was that finally chocolate became just… chocolate, again!

No spiralling. No constant negotiations. No wondering whether she was “allowed” it.

Because Beryl didn’t need tighter control around food, she needed to stop fighting it long enough to trust herself around it again.
